Don’t stress out!

Life can be complicated. Starting a new program and semester would be challenging for everyone, but COVID-19 made our life even harder. I live alone, so I have to do everything on my own. I do not have a car. We were expected to go out only once a week so we could buy groceries. How can a single person bring all the necessary groceries in one trip? It is one of the many challenges, but I have been able to cope with COVID-19 and I will tell you how.

Two things: have a positive attitude and try to be the less stressed possible. These days every day we read “there are x number of new covid-19 cases in Ontario” or “x amount of people have died today”.  We should be aware of our surroundings and be responsible, but also we should bring joy into our lives. I believe laughing can keep you sane and creative. Watch or listen comedy! There are many comedy shows or podcasts on streaming platforms. Do you prefer music? You can find bands doing live streams as if they were live shows. Call your friends! I talk with my friends almost every day and play games or have a virtual party. Do what you like, or try to do something new, but only if it is something that will make you feel better. I try new things whenever I can, and many times I fail, but failing something can give you an interesting story in the future.  It is a time to be at peace, not a time to be stressed out! Try to have fun!
