The Seneca Sting took on the George Brown Huskies looking to stay undefeated and improve to 17-0 Wednesday night. The Sting are comfortably in first place eight points ahead of the second-place Durham Lords. Meanwhile, the George Brown Huskies are near the bottom sitting in 8th in the division with a record of 5-10. They were looking to snap their three-game losing skid.
The Sting’s player of the game was Mikyla Patras with 15 points and 15 kills. Just behind her was Taylor Grant with 9 points and 8 kills. The George Brown Huskies player of the game was Sherwin Vallejo with 11 points and 9 kills.
Coach Saba Seda like his team’s dominance. “They did a good job and we didn’t allow them to get twenty points in any set. It just showed our dominance”. Next up are the Georgian Grizzlies and the coach is looking to keep their unblemished record intact. “We want to set a record for ourselves that can’t be beaten and can only be tied and that’s to go 18-0. No team in Seneca volleyball history has gone undefeated and hopefully, we’ll be able to set that record together after our game on Friday.
The last regular season game for the Sting is against Georgian Grizzlies on Friday at 6 pm on the King campus as they look to set a new record and do something that hasn’t been done before.
