Elton John: New Royal Rocker Status

Sir Elton John’s royal status has been elevated by the royal Family of the United Kingdom. On Wednesday he was anointed by  Prince Charles at the Windsor Castle. Sir Elton now has been given the greatest honour an artist can be bestowed with, this award being the newest member of joining the Order of the Companions of Honour. This position is the highest award that can be given by Queen Elizabeth II, this elite group is comprised of a maximum of 65 members and include famous names such as David Attenborough, Canadian Author Margret Atwood and elite British athlete Sebastian Coe. His only response after being given this highly prestigious award was “I’m so happy”. Even after bashing his last knighting in 2017 stating “this knighting means F*** all” he still was able to get back into the Queen’s good graces and is back to his normal royal self. This award is only given to people of science arts and government. Even though Elton is a part of that category he is known not only for his music he is also known for being quite the philanthropist. Elton has been apart of 64 charity events and fundraisers his most important charity is the Elton John Aids foundation, which has raised over 125 million dollars since starting up in 1992. The Order of the Companions of Honour is a British award given to citizens of the Commonwealth. It was founded by King George V in 1917, as a award for amazing achievement for the arts, literature, science, and music, Elton john now is amongst such an impressive group of people who want to change this world for the better. Currently no one knows what is next for Sir Elton John as a new Member of the Order of the Companions of honour but we do know that he will most definitely continue with his charity endeavours and make amazing music for generations to come.
