Voters can start casting their votes at the advance polling stations around Toronto are open until October 14th. The last municipal election voters cast 161 000 votes in this short time period.
Toronto residents will have to find the nearest polling station to them and vote in their ward. Voters will need to bring a piece of identification and a qualifying Toronto address, for example, a driver’s licence or a utility bill.
The top two candidates being John Tory and Jennifer Keesmaat. Currently John Tory is in the lead early polls find out but Jennifer Keesmaat is said to be more popular among the youth.
A randomly selected poll of 1000 Toronto residents surveyed over the phone show that 56 percent will vote for John Tory while 29 percent support Jennifer Keesmaat, a sizeable lead.
The two candidates have taken to Twitter to help with their campaigning.

Jennifer Keesmaat took to twitter to share her plan on saving money in the city.
