Spotify celebrates 10 year anniversary

Spotify was founded in 2006 and was then launched October 7 2008 in Stockholm, Sweden. The creators of the company Daniel Ek and Martin Lorentzon came up with the idea to make a platform to distribute legal music.

The platform has over 180 million monthly subscribers across over 65 countries and offers 40 billion songs with 2,000 genres and podcasts

Spotify can connect with smart speakers, home assistants and tablets which allows people to streaming your favorite music and podcasts.

In celebration of the 10 year anniversary Spotify has release stats on popular artists and songs

Most Streamed song of all time:

1.)    Ed Sheeran -Shape of you

2.)    Drake – One Dance

3.)    The Chainsmokers, Halsey – Closer

Most- Streamed albums globally
