Valentine’s: How to Make it Sweet

by Vidhu

Who doesn’t know 14th February  is Valentine’s day? A day for couples and loved ones where all cringey things become cute and all sad

things become happy. There are a lot of ways to celebrate.

Proposals top the list for going all out with romance.  But you can also make it a chocolate day, a teddy bear day,  a promise day, a hug day, a special kiss day.  Valentine’s is a big thing, and it can seem like everything is so expensive, isn’t it? So how do we celebrate Valentine’s day without blowing the budget and still managing to make your significant other happy and madly in love with you?

Well, there are many things that you can do to elevate your game.  The most traditional? Flowers. Now who doesn’t like flowers, be it a girl or a boy? Flowers can never go wrong. But the prices goes up significantly on Valentine’s day.

How about something that costs nothing, but can mean everything? Love notes and sweet paragraphs where one person can express their emotions and feelings about the other person. Who doesn’t like to read something good about themselves?

Stuck in a rut? Another option can be a date night. And, no, date night doesn’t have to be something expensive. It can be both simple and lovely. Pizzas and ice cream or whatever you want. Watching a romantic movie together.  It’s about spending time together that can elevate your daily routine and elicit some unique feelings.

After talking to various people about how they spend their special day without sacrificing their needs, I received some unexpected responses like dipping strawberries in chocolate. Trust me it truly looks amazing and tastes even better. Or, you can just cut some red paper in a heart shape and write something sweet on it, and just wrap it up with a teddy bear. It doesn’t have to buy a huge bear, you can just buy a tiny octopus if you want.

From flowers, to eating chocolate strawberries, to giving a love note bear, to sharing feelings and making promises on promise day, to cuddling and spending time together on hug day, to going for a walk and kissing in the middle of the road to actually having a date night on your special Valentine’s Day. This is how you can spend your Valentine’s Day with love in it. And remember, to keep the love alive year round.
