A 21-year-old Toronto resident, identified as Sulaiman Sufi has been arrested in connection with a violent kidnapping and assault . Toronto police are searching for two more suspects in connection with the incident near Scarborough Town Centre. The incident took place on Nov 17, 2022 around 3:45pm. According to the investigators, a man was forced into a vehicle against his will by three suspects and was being physically assaulted over several hours. The man was forced at a gun point to hand over all the jewellery and money. The man was able to escape several hours later. Sulaiman Sufi is facing multiple charges, including kidnapping, forcible confinement, robbery with having a firearm, assaulting, theft of a motor vehicle, and extortion. 23 year old Muhsin Sufi and 20-year old Abdulhai Patel, are both wanted for similar offences. Muhsin Sufi is described as six feet tall, weighing 150 pounds with a slim build and black hair; Patel is described as about five-foot-nine, weighing 220 pounds with black hair. Police say they should be considered armed and dangerous.
