Polar Bear Dip: Supporting Seneca Students

by Begimay Koigeldi

Seneca College is gearing up for its 10th annual Polar Bear Dip, an event that has become a tradition for staff, students, alumni, and partners alike. Scheduled for March 6 at 12 p.m, this year’s dip promises to be bigger and better than ever as participants brave the icy waters to raise money for the Campaign for Students.

The Polar Bear Dip is not just about taking a chilly plunge, it’s about making a difference in the lives of Seneca students. Every year, funds raised from this event go directly towards supporting student financial aid initiatives, ensuring that all students have the resources they need to succeed in their education.

Traditionally held at the Seneca King campus, this year’s dip will take place at the Newnham campus (Don Mills and Finch), allowing for greater participation and involvement from the entire Seneca community. The goal? To raise an impressive $15,000, with over $5,000 already secured in donations.
