Get Ready to Laugh! Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival 2025

Toronto’s biggest sketch comedy festival is set to take place from March 5 to 16, 2025, bringing top comedic talent to the stage. Now celebrating its 20th anniversary, the Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival TOsketchfest has grown into a major cultural event, featuring 70 acts and 50 performances, with 23 shows lasting between 45 to 75 minutes.The festival first began in 2005 when Paul Snepsts launched a series of comedy shows at the Gladstone Hotel. Over the years, it has expanded into a beloved annual event, now held at Sweet Action Theatre Centre on Bloor Street West. TOsketchfest is organized by its dedicated director and staff, along with a panel of jurors who help curate an outstanding lineup of performers.

Tickets for the festival are available online, and the box office can be reached at boxoffice@torontosketchfest.com for assistance. Additionally, an in-person box office will be open on March 8, 2025, at 4:30 PM at the theatre centre. Ticket prices range from $2 to $5 per person, making it an affordable entertainment option for all comedy lovers.This year’s festival boasts a star-studded lineup, including viral TikTok comedian Tom Hearn, known for his success on Canada’s Drag Race, along with other standout performers such as Julie Nolke, My Best Friend’s Friend, Rapp Battlez, and the Canadian Screen Award-winning sketch group TallBoyz. Highlights also include a live podcast recording from Firecracker Department, led by Second City alumna Naomi Snieckus; the acclaimed 13 Plays About ADHD All At the Same Time, nominated for Outstanding New Work at the 2024 MyEntertainmentWorld Critics’ Pick Awards; I’m with Stewwwww Pitt, created by Hannan Younis (Crave’s Bria Mack Gets a Life) and Rakhee Morzaria (Hulu/CBC’s Run the Burbs); and the beloved Toronto event Rapp Battlez.

Over the past two decades, TOsketchfest has built a loyal following, attracting thousands of attendees each year. It has also helped raise the sketch comedy scene by supporting emerging talent and providing a platform for both national and international comedians.
