iPhone Hacks that save you time.

I had forgotten my phone at home yesterday and honestly not having my phone with me -I actually found it quite difficult because it’s truly my Life Line!  We rely so much on our phones that I wanted to dedicate this piece to all 700 million iPhones users worldwide and hopefully you’ll learn bit more about your iPhone.  Just in case you were wondering how I knew there are 700 million iPhonescurrently, this was according to an estimate from BMO Capital Markets analyst Tim Long.

Ok let’s start off with the batteries -there are few hacks below to help you preserve and gain more battery power:

Tired of waiting for your phone to recharge?  Well, there is a way to help boost up your charging power, and its surprisingly simple – just set it to Flight Safe mode. This will take the strain off your battery while it’s being powered up. So if your in a pinch for time and looking to get every bit of juice, this will help you gain an extra 4% of battery life. Try this hack it could make all the difference.

Your battery life is at a low and you’re nowhere near a charger.  Don’t panic just yet. Simply set it to Low Power Mode, Here’s an easy solution to help you gain FOUR more hours of battery life. Go into your Settings, select Battery and lastly select Low Power Mode (Siri can do this for you too.)  And one last one on the battery hacks – this one is good for the overall health of your phone.

Improve your battery life  by turning off the Spotlight features for certain apps you will be able to increase the battery percentage on your phone. Easily go to your Settings, select General and then lastly select Spotlight Search

Now that your battery is fully charged you are ready to take your best selfie.   You can take a photo without touching your phone. This is an oldie but a goodie iPhone hack.   Use your volume control buttons to capture a snap – this way your finger won’t block the screen as you attempt to hit the touchscreen and this also gives you a better grip on your phone.

Your iPhone was designed to gather data on you – from the apps you’re using the most, how much data you’re going through… or even, more creeper, where you are and how long you’ve spent in each place.  To turn this setting off head to Settings, Privacy, Location Services, System Services, Frequent Locations.

Ever wonder how long you’ve been waiting for a reply. There’s an easy way to find out, by simply slide in from the right-hand side of the screen and hold it down to see the actual delivery times for every message sent and received.

And lastly we’ve all been there when our phone decides to crash on us – here’s how to do a hard reset.  Hold down the power button and the volume down button at the same time. Your phone should reset and spring back into life.

Now your iPhone is prepared to make your life easier while you enjoy doing the things you love.
