The Percentage of Most Google Searched NHL Players

1. Connor McDavid

The number one most searched NHL Player today is none other than Connor McDavid. The Edmonton Oilers captain has scored the most points in the past three NHL seasons with 324. His speed and ability to create offence makes him an exciting player to watch and he is only getting better from here. McDavid own a career average of 1.30 points per game.

2. Auston Matthews

The star Toronto Maple Leaf centreman is showing his goal-scoring abilities this season, netting 21 goals in 27 games. He is the main piece on the Leafs offence and has proved he is one of the league’s best goal scorers, having tallied 179 goals in his first five seasons. Not surprisingly Matthews ranks Number 1 in Toronto and in the rest of Ontario.

  1. Alexander Ovechkin

Alex Ovechkin doesn’t plan on stopping anytime soon. The 35-year-old Russian sniper has scored 50+ goals in eight different seasons. On Tuesday night, he scored his 718th career goal which put him at sixth on the NHL’s all-time list. Oddly Ovechkin rules the Yukon and NWT,

 

  1. Carey Price

One of the game’s top goaltenders today, Price has an astonishing 48 career shutouts. Only two Canadiens goalies have reached 50 career shutouts with the team: George Hainsworth (75) and Jacques Plante (58). Price is seeking that 50-shutout milestone. Price Ranks number 1 in Quebec.

 

  1. Sidney Crosby

At age 32, many still consider Crosby as the best player in the league. Last season he put up 47 points due to injury. In the 2018-19 season he put up 100 points. Only Mario Lemieux has the most points in Penguins history with 1,723, Crosby is sitting at 1,292. A native of Nova Scotia, Crosby ranks Number 1 in most of Atlantic Canada.
