My Beauty Politics- AFRICVILLE- Halifax’s Forgotten Obliterated Community – EP5

Never heard of Nova Scotia’s historic Africville?  You are not alone.    In 1848, Africville was established and was the home to 400 black residents. In 1965 the city council of Halifax began bulldozing every home, business, church and school in sight.

 

 

We must learn of Canadas true Canadian history:  The good, the great, the bad and the evil. By knowing our history we will be better equipped to ensure a better future for all people who call Canada home?
