Thousands of migrants stranded in the Poland-Belarus border were moved to a nearby Belarusian warehouse. The migrants were living in camps, in extreme cold weather conditions with little food and water, with hopes to enter the European Union. They were trapped between the Belarusian forces on one side and the Polish forces on the other side of the border. The situation became worse on Tuesday when the migrants started throwing stones at the Polish forces, injuring 12, and the Polish forces responded by firing tear gas and water cannon to prevent them from entering their territory.

Some migrants refused the offer to be taken to the warehouse and they decided to stay outside at the border.  Most of these migrants are from the middle east and they want to reach Germany or other western European nations. The government of Iraq is asking their citizens to return home by telling them that the way to the EU is now closed. Flight arrangements have been made from Minsk to Iraq for those who want to return. The first flight is expected to fly on Thursday.

The migrants inside of the heated warehouse have been offered food, water, medical aid, mattresses and pillows. But according to most of these migrants, they are now waiting for the situation to resolve and they are not planning to go back to their home countries.
