The magical CP Holiday Train will be stopping in Toronto. The Holiday Train will run from November 20th to December 19th. The motive of the Holiday Train is to raise money for those experiencing food insecurity. The program began in 1999 and since its inception, it has raised more than $22.5 and more than 5 million pounds of food. The brightly decorated train tours Canada and the United States every year. It feature 14 rail cars decorated in LED lights. This season the train will be making a pit stop in Toronto. The train will arrive at 8:15 p.m. on November 28th at the CPKC Yard office parking lot at 750 Runnymede Rd. The train will stop at Toronto from 8:30 to 9:00p.m.People are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items or cash donations.Cash donations at this stop will go toward the Daily Bread Bank.
After the Toronto stop, the train will move onto Vaughan and Barrie before moving throughout Manitoba , Saskatchewan , B.C , and Alberta.
Free concerts

Professional musicians also play free concerts on the train's stage. This year the alt-rock group Anyway Gang will be performing at the Toronto stop.Their first single, 'Big Night', went to #1 on alternative radio. The band is a mix of members from other Toronto-based bands like Sloan's Chris Murphy, Dave Monks from Tokyo Police Club, etc. There will also be Breland, Kiesza, Seaforth, Mackenzie Porter, Tyler Shaw, Dallas Smith, Trudy, Virginia to Vegas performance.
