Avril Lavigne returns to Toronto after a decade away

Avril Laving is coming to Canada after 10 years.

After a decade of not having a concert or tour in Canada, the singer will give a cross-tour over Canada coast to coast finishing on Moncton. The “Bite Me Canada 2022” tour will be having dates for 14 cities’ during May 3 to 25, featuring special guest grandson and Modsun.

The singer released her new single “Bite Me” released on November 10 presented on “the tonight show” with Travis Barker being this, her first piece of music sense 2019 and before the pandemic started.

The Matrix returns

The Matrix: Resurrections will premiere in Toronto and you might be able to attend!

After it was announced Keanu Reeves will return to the iconic sci-fi Matrix franchise along with Carrie-Anne Moss the film will finally be released on December 22. David Mitchell the co-writer of the film said in an interview what this movie will be about “a continuation of the story established in the first MATRIX film. It reunites Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss as cinematic icons Neo and Trinity in an expansion of their story that ventures back into the Matrix and even deeper down the rabbit hole. A mind-bending new adventure with action and epic scale, it’s set in a familiar yet even more provocative world where reality is more subjective than ever and all that’s required to see the truth is to free your mind.” Toronto was chosen to be one of the cities where this film will have a premiere and to celebrate Warner Bros announced fans will have the opportunity to attend.

Canadian fans from coast to coast will be able to participate in the Neo and Trinity contest which will give them a chance to win tickets and Join Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss in the premiere. To participate the fans will have to go on the lookout for a QR code in different businesses of their cities including: Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver. By scanning the QR code they will receive a message from different members of The Matrix: Resurrections cast and will now be participating to win a trip to attend the premiere.

You might even spot some QR codes that will be projected in different buildings in downtown Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal and Calgary.

In total there will be seven winners from outside of the Greater Toronto Area that will win two flights, accommodation and tickets to the premiere, and 25 winners closer to Toronto that will each receive two tickets to the premiere.

The contest started on November 26 and it will end on December 5, but fans will be able to continue scanning the codes until December 20 for a chance to win tickets to watch the film in Imax.

The premiere will be on December 16 at Cineplex’s Scotiabank Theatre.

  • Ghostbusters: Afterlife released on November 19 was on the top last week has now reached $24.5M for The Weekend Gross and $87.6M for Total Gross.


  • House of Gucci was released on November 24 and by now it has reached $14.23M for The Weekend Gross and $21.83M for Total Gross.
