Cupe is standing their grounds with another potential strike. Giving 5 days for their voices to be heard. The purpose for this strike is to get the province to invest more money into the students. The strike and the lack of investment towards the children is unfair. The province compromised with an extra dollar increase for teachers. Yet, Cupe mentions that this is not enough. Teachers rather be working then continously trying to get the Province to hear them. Even with the extra dollar increase is great for the teachers working. This is not going to resolve the bigger picture. Discussions that will be held during the bargaining table will be discrete.
