Ontario COVID-19 Cases Are Trending Up

There are 552 new Covid 19 cases in Ontario today (November 15th 2021), which is down from the 666 we saw in the province on Sunday. Overall trends are showing the rolling average from this past week to be up from 476 to 573. Of the new confirmed cases 286 are in those who are not vaccinated, 23 partially vaccinated, 212 fully vaccinated, and 31 who have an unknown vaccine status.

Regional public health units are showing (85) cases in Toronto, (51) in Peel, (49) in York, (44) in Simcoe Muskoka, and (37) in Ottawa. 552 is the single highest day reported since late September.

There are 141 patients are in ICU as of Monday, which is up from 127 one week ago.  Twenty are fully vaccinated and 121 are either not vaccinated or partially vaccinated.

Three more virus related deaths have been confirmed today in the province bringing the total 9,937.

The Province is also reporting that the immunization rate for those who are 12+ is up above 88.7% for one dose and 85.5% with two doses. The Ontario government, in consultation with the Chief Medical Officer of Health, is continuing with pausing the lifting of capacity limits in remaining higher-risk settings such as restaurants, night clubs, strip clubs, reception and event venues.
