Seneca orientation week
A large part of the orientation at Seneca was in trying to connect students with others before the start of classes. Look, we know that meeting new people is both the most exciting and, for most people, the scary part about college. Icebreakers and team-building activities were meant to spread discomfort so the students could adjust to their new surroundings. These same exercises broke the ice and set the stage for a long-lasting friendship by learning these unspoken keys. It could be a chance to meet one's people and a person to play with in class. And being around all those who are just as new to this makes it all the more refreshing.
The orientation is about more than socializing with new people. It's also a time to look into the college's extracurriculars. Seneca Major repeats charity work, clubs, and do-it-yourself activities. College is the time to discover new hobbies and continue your older ones. Being in clubs and volunteering are great ways to fill time, but they also give you a foot up when it comes to improving your resume, socializing with others on the campus and making friends early is, always friendly, and feeling like a member of your college. The good thing about getting involved earlier is that it prepares you to take advantage of the college years better personally and professionally.
Freshman Orientation assisted students in the fall of 2024 at Seneca College. It gave them the lay of the land regarding club selections and classroom locations. They might as well mentally prepare for what to expect in college. To me, it represented the beginning of college. This event is meant to introduce students to this new era of their lives. They all go in thinking they have the right stuff to succeed.
