Santa Claus Parade
The Santa Claus Parade returns this coming Sunday 24th, after the uncertainty due to lack of financing. City of Toronto and Prime Minister Trudeau provided funding of $100,000 through the Special Events Stabilization Initiative (SESI), which includes the Santa Claus Parade.

The historic parade will feature 18 marching bands and 26 floats representing parade partners and sponsors. Besides, Former Wiggles star Emma Watkins will make her Canadian debut with her new preschool brand, Emma Memma. Additionally, a milk and cookies zone at Christie Pits will open at 10 a.m., where attendees can write letters to Santa and enjoy the appetizers.
The event begins at 12:30 p.m. with a new east route on Bloor Street from Christie Pits. It is expected to be around two and a half hours long. If you can assist, the parade will be live-streamed on YouTube for the first time.

Toronto Christmas Market
Another event not to be missed with family and community is the Toronto Christmas market in the Distillery District, which runs seven days a week until Jan. 5, 2025, from 10 am to 9 pm. Free entrance before 4 pm. The event boasts more than 30 different food options and 60 different vendors. Besides, this year features an immersive experience by Illuminarium Toronto, which uses cutting-edge projection, audio, and visual technology to offer unique shows.
The centerpiece is a 55-foot-tall pine tree adorned with approximately 70,000 lights, thousands of replica Christian Dior perfume bottles, and a dazzling solar emblem at its base.
