Government creates a nationwide challenge to tackle food waste

Canada, like many other nations, has a major food waste crisis. From the farm to the plate, food waste occurs at every stage.

Many Canadians acknowledge this crisis and have taken it upon themselves to do better. Whether it be to join a movement, be involved in an organization, or even just making food preservation a priority at home. All of these small initiatives helps tackle Canada's large scale problem.

But now, these small groups have a chance to play on the big stage and change Canadian policies. Learn about Canada's food waste challenge and how you can be involved in it through this short audio documentary.
