Sting Women’s Basketball Team Falls Short

With the end of the regular season fast approaching, Seneca Sting women’s Basketball team was unable to extend its winning run on Tuesday night. The Sting were leading 20-17 by the end of the first quarter, but Durham mounted a comeback, and Sting found themselves trailing by 4 at the end of the second quarter.

Taylor Allicock led the team with 26 points, 10 baskets and four free throws. Brianna-Mae Clough contributed with 10 points, and had the best shooting percentage among Sting players.

The final score was 57-64 for the Durham Lords. Sting currently sit at 4th in the OCAA Eastern conference, are hoping to bounce back against the Georgian Grizzlies on Friday.
