Seattle: NHL’s 32nd Franchise

Seattle is getting an NHL expansion team.  Once the 2021-2022 NHL season opens. it will be the league’s 32nd franchise. With this new team, it will push the Arizona Coyotes to the Central Division in the Western Conference.

The cost for the entry into the league will be $650 million. 30% higher then what the Vegas Golden Knights paid to enter the NHL last season. Last time Seattle had a hockey team was from 1919-1924. The Seattle Metropolitans won the cup once in 1917.

The team has not yet released any names or colours but there are already fan made jerseys to be found online.

Some suggested team names have been The Seattle Starbucks, Seattle Krakens, Seattle Cranes, Seattle Storm and many more.
