Over the decades there have been some bitter break ups in the music industry. From Guns and Roses to The Police. But those may not come close to what this Toronto based band is going through.
Witchrot announced on Sunday in a Facebook post that the band will be taking an extended hiatus. One of the band members Peter felt the ultimate betrayal from one of his band members.
“Due to the unfortunate reality of our guitarist f****** my girlfriend of almost 7 years WITCHROT will be taking an extended hiatus” the post reads on Facebook.
Peter went on to say that he will continue in the band but said, “Being ripe with hate the music is slowly flowing and without a doubt will become the most devastating, torturous music I have ever created. Thanks for the support, stay heavy”.
The post then ends with a shocking turn of events, with the announcement of the passing of the band’s drummer. The past few days have been rough for this band as they start their long break.
